Something about Rebates!
Rebates can be tricky ... If you are not willing to do the work (minimal work overall) ... Your savings can be negated.
Some rebated require very little effort ...
Walgreens, for instance, has some that are easy to do ... Simply go on their website ... register your receipt and choose your type of refund ... One option is a Walgreens Gift Card (my personal favorite) ... By choosing that option ... they will give you 10% additional ... Who can say no to free $$ !
Some rebates are real work ... if you want to call it that ... also well worth your time. Cutting out a bar code(s), filling out a rebate form, addrerssing an envelope and mailing it in. The problem occurs when you don't take the time or worse ... forget or miss the deadline ... It happens ... I have done it. It makes you re-evaluate if rebates are for me.
Generally I pass ... but a few good deals ... Try Me Free items or moneymakers are hard to pass up!
Best advice ... Do your rebates immediately ... get it done and submitted ... and then wait for the rewards:)

If you continue to roll over your Extra Bucks ... your "out of pocket" can be kept low.

Retail $99.44 ... Saved $102.83 ... Paid +$3.39 ... 103.3% Saved
Over 100% savings is possible when you have Extra Bucks from previous transactions and you use those as payment for current transactions making your "out of pocket" expense less ... If the current transactions yield more Extra Bucks ... you subtract those from what amount you did spend out of pocket ... and sometimes you have more than your retail total ... That would create a 100% or more savings!
Isn't couponing fun!
