CVS & WALGREENS 11-24-11 Black Friday-ish

My first Black Friday (Turkey Thursday) shopping at Walgreen & CVS.  Both stores always have great deals and often FREE items ... but they had CRAZY deals to join in the crazy shopping frenzy! The best part was that both stores ran deals for 3 days ... Thanxgiving thru Saturday.  If you can master the technique of using Register Rewards at Walgreens & Extra Bucks at CVS ... you can wind up paying minimum out of pocket.  The key is multiple transactions & rolling over EBs & RRs from one transaction to the next!

My Black Friday shopping buddy, Gigi, was up for the challenge and we started off at pharmacies Thanxgiving Day!

I am not sure how many items total ... but it is safe to say ... lots!

Total Retail $339.39 ... Saved $270.22 ... Paid $69.26 ... Received RR & EB for $58.70 ... Total spent $10.48 ... a 96.91% Savings.

My items ... Retail $197.84 ... Saved $163.61 ... Paid $34.25 ... Received $31.79 in EBs & RRs ... Total spent $2.45 which is a savings of 96.91%

WALGREENS 9/28/11

Walgreens was not a place I used to shop ... There was not a convenient location that I liked ... That all changed a few weeks ago when my daughter started Pre-School ... I soon found a really great Walgreens justify blocks away. The checkers are soooo nice and go out of there way when it comes to customer service. They usually have things in stock and if not ... the manager has even offered to get it from another store to have for me later that week! Now I don't have to miss the great deals!

Remember to check the clearance section ... this.week I found ice packs ... great for lunches ... $.25 ea ... Not only great for a filler ... but an awesome price:-)

KOHL'S 9/20/11

Great buys at Kohl's ... Lots of clearance items and 30% to 50% off. I had $10 in Kohl's Cash from last time and got an additional 15% off in a mailer. Checker offered a scratch off and did better ... received 20% off instead of my 15%.  It is possible save on clothes too!

Amazing how things are actually on the shelf ... so often ...they are out of everything!

TIP:
Find out when your store get their deliveries ... then shop that evening or the next morning ... you might be able to avoid cleared shelves! I was only missing 1 item which I plan to go back for on Friday.

Used a coupon on just about everything ... along with store specials, Extra Bucks ... and - Bonus $2 CVS coupon for Robitussin that I was already going to get & $5 Extra Bucks from the Magic Machine for reaching another $50 in beauty purchases!
